My game name

It is just used to direct the game to the correct version of UDK, kind of like when games used to require a CD even when the game was fully installed on the computer. I've never heard of anyone having problems by uninstalling it though. You can just right-click on the game in Steam and click on "Delete Local Content This is absurd. It's clutter. Why not "Unreal Engine Resource" or something? Originally posted by TLTD :. Just uninstall and reinstall the game. Right-click it in your Steam library and click on "delete local content" and then reinstall it. Originally posted by Californ1a :. Originally posted by 7X :. Last edited by noname ; 21 Apr, pm. Californ1a Thank you for the meaningful response to the OP's question, as I had the same question.

To get rid of it after Antichamber is uninstalled you have to fire up good ol' Control Panel not the standard Windows 10 settings app , go to Uninstall a Program, right click on "My Game Long Name" and click uninstall. It'll throw an error and ask you if you want the entry removed. Funnily enough, after I did this, I reinstalled Antichamber and no such entry reappeared under installed programs. So I don't know what triggers the bug. Addendum: I couldn't find a way to entirely avoid the game to run UnSetup.

And whenever the registry entry is missing it's run again. I entered the uninstaller and saw a weird program called "My Game Long Name". Trying to uninstall it says something about Antichamber.

The logo does seem a bit like it's related to Unreal Technology. Just wanna know if it's ok to remove and what it does. Showing 1 - 4 of 4 comments. Californ1a View Profile View Posts. That's not how you're supposed to uninstall Steam games anyway. This insures that Steam has a backup of any saves or anything else before it uninstalls the game.

But to answer your question about what "My game long name" is I read it before and it just confused me more.

I don't want to uninstall Antichamber, I want to know if that program comes with Antichamber. Can you check that for me? What is My Game Long Name? If you directly run an Epic game installed with a custom installer, the user needs Administrator access to run the game for the first time. It doesn't come with Antichamber, but since you have UAC User Access Controls, the little thing that pops up and says "are you sure you want to You could try uninstalling it, and then if Antichamber doesn't run, just verify the game cache and it should re-download for you.

These three programs all run on different versions of the Unreal Engine, and so I believe "My Game Long Name" is just an easier way for UDK to determine which version of the engine to use for which software.

This is just an assumption though, I don't actually make games so I don't know for sure. When you run an UDK game for the first time it will check for, and create if it does not exist, an uninstall entry for the game.

It hosts some values for the EULA check.
